Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the fuel tank shield to the frame.

    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the fuel tank shield to the frame retaining bolts and nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fuel tank shield to the frame retaining bolts and nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the frame brace.
  4. Install the frame brace mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the frame brace mounting bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  5. Lower the vehicle.
