Installation Procedure

  1. Install the steering gear crossmember.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the steering gear crossmember mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the steering gear crossmember mounting bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the rear lower control arm bracket to frame mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the rear lower control arm bracket to frame mounting bolts to 240 N.m (177 lb ft).

  7. Install the engine shield.
  8. Install the engine shield mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the engine shield mounting bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  9. Lower the vehicle.
