Removal Procedure
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Remove the fastener access cover (1).
- Remove the bolt (2) retaining the applique to the roof.
- Place the tape along the lower end of the applique in order to protect the painted surfaces.
- Lift the front of the applique (3) in order to visually see the snap-in fasteners.
- Starting from the front, working rearward, insert a long flat-bladed tool between the applique and the fastener and twist the tool in order to release the 4 fasteners.
- Remove the applique (3).
- Inspect the applique and snap-in fasteners for damage.
