Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the transfer case shield, if equipped. Refer to Transfer Case Shield Replacement in Frame and Underbody.

  3. Remove the fill plug.

  4. Remove the drain plug.
