Installation Procedure

  1. Install the J 45236  on the front output shaft. See Special Tools and Equipment .

  3. Align the front output shaft seal on the J 45236-2 (1).
  4. Using the J 45236-1 (2), install the front output shaft seal.
  5. Remove the J 45236-1 and the J 45236-2.

  7. Install the dust shield on the front output shaft.

  9. Install the front propeller shaft. Refer to Propeller Shaft Replacement - Front in Propeller Shaft.
  10. Inspect the transfer case fluid level. Refer to Transfer Case Fluid Replacement  .
  11. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
