Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Fig 1: View Of Transfer Case Fill Plug

  3. Remove the fill plug.
  4. Fig 2: View Of Transfer Case Drain Plug

  5. Remove the drain plug.
  6. IMPORTANT: Ensure that an approved drain pan is used when draining the transfer case.
  7. Allow the transfer case to drain completely.
