Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the moveable roof panel. Refer to Moveable Roof Panel Assembly Replacement .
  2. Remove the moveable roof actuator cover. Refer to Moveable Roof Panel Actuator Cover Replacement .
  3. Remove the lock pillar upper tie bar trim panel. Refer to Trim Cover Replacement - Body Lock Pillar Upper Tie Bar - Cargo (Envoy XUV) in Interior Trim.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors to the moveable roof assembly (3), moveable roof control module (1), and the moveable roof motor/actuator (2).

  5. Remove the moveable roof assembly connector retainers from the moveable roof assembly.
  6. Carefully lift up the moveable roof front beam panel until the roof assembly connectors can be pulled out from under the front beam assembly.
  7. Remove the moveable roof wiring harness from the vehicle.
