Removal Procedure

Remove the wiper arm (3). Refer toWiper Arm Replacement - Rear (TrailBlazer, Envoy) or Wiper Arm Replacement - Rear (XUV) .

Remove the weather strip (2) from the wiper motor pivot shaft (3).
Remove the interior trim panel from the endgate. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Endgate (Envoy XUV) in Body Rear End.
Remove the rear endgate window. Refer to Window Replacement - Endgate in Body Rear End.
Disconnect the wiper motor electrical connector.
Remove the bolts (2) and the nuts (1, 3) retaining the wiper motor (4) to the endgate.

Remove the wiper motor assembly (5) from the endgate.
