Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the wiper motor.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the 2 bolts retaining the motor to the lift gate.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  4. Connect the wiper motor electrical connector.
  5. Install the interior trim panel to the lift gate. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) or Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) in Body Rear End.
  6. Install the spacer and the nut on the wiper motor drive shaft.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  7. Install the wiper arm. Refer to Wiper Arm Replacement - Rear (TrailBlazer, Envoy)  or Wiper Arm Replacement - Rear (XUV) .
