Washers Always On - Headlamp

Washers Always On - Headlamp Diagnostic Test

Schematic Reference: Wiper/Washer System Schematics 
Connector End View Reference: Wiper/Washer System Connector End Views 
DEFINITION: The headlamp washers are always ON. The windshield washers operate normally.
1 Did you perform the wiper/washer diagnostic system check? Go to Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Wiper/Washer 
2 Turn the ignition OFF.
Are the headlamp washers always ON?
Go to Step 3  Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems
3 Disconnect the headlamp washer relay.
Are the headlamp washers always ON?
Go to Step 4  Go to Step 5

  1. Disconnect the headlamp washer fluid pump connector.
  2. Repair the headlamp washer pump control circuit for a short to B+.
Did you complete the repair?
Go to Step 6  -
5 Replace the headlamp washer relay.
Did you complete the replacement?
Go to Step 6  -

  1. Reconnect all previous disconnected components.
  2. Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
System OK Go to Step 3
