Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the midgate inner panel. Refer to Midgate Panel Replacement - Inner .
  2. Remove the midgate window. Refer to Window Replacement - Midgate .
  3. Remove the midgate window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Midgate .
  4. Fig 1: Disconnecting Midgate Electrical Connectors

  5. Disconnect the following electrical connectors:
    • Midgate latches
    • Midgate window position switch
    • Midgate latch release switch
    • Midgate harness to body harness
  6. Release the midgate wiring harness retainers from the midgate structure.
  7. Remove the midgate wiring harness from the midgate.
