Installation Procedure

  1. Install the striker and shim, if equipped, to the vehicle.
  2. Position the striker to the body using the alignment marks.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bolts (1) retaining the striker to the vehicle.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  4. Close the endgate, inspecting for proper operation and alignment. Refer to Endgate Adjustment .
