Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left tail lamp assembly. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  2. Swing open the endgate.

  3. Remove the sealing strip (1) covering the striker access hole.

  4. Remove the nuts (4) retaining the upper striker (1) to the body.
  5. Remove the upper striker and shim, if equipped, from the vehicle.
