Adjustment Procedure

  1. Inspect the liftgate window for proper fit to the liftgate window weatherstrip.
    • Open and close the liftgate window.
    • If the liftgate window is hard to close, additional striker shims will need to be added.
    • If the liftgate window does not seal tightly against the weatherstrip, striker shims will need to be removed.
  2. Open the liftgate window.
  3. Loosen the nuts retaining the liftgate striker to the liftgate window.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Remove or add shims as determined above.

    Tighten:  Tighten the liftgate window striker nuts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  6. Inspect the liftgate window for proper fit, readjust if necessary.
  7. Close the liftgate window.
