Removal Procedure

  1. Swing open the endgate.
  2. Remove the endgate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Endgate (Envoy XUV) .
  3. Remove the endgate inner panel reinforcement. Refer to Reinforcement Inner Panel Replacement - Endgate .

  4. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the lock cylinder.
  5. Use a flat-bladed tool to depress the retainers (3) on the lock cylinder to release it from the slots (1) license plate pocket.
  6. Remove the lock cylinder from the vehicle.
