Removal Procedure

  1. Swing open the endgate.
  2. Remove the endgate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Endgate (Envoy XUV) .
  3. Remove the inner panel reinforcement. Refer to Reinforcement Inner Panel Replacement - Endgate .
  4. Remove the endgate lock cylinder. Refer to Lock Cylinder Replacement - Endgate .
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the swing function handle.

  6. Remove the license plate pocket wiring harness retainers from the endgate.
  7. Disconnect the main license plate pocket electrical connector (1).
  8. Remove the nuts retaining the license plate pocket to the endgate.
  9. Remove the license plate pocket from the endgate.
