Installation Procedure

  1. Install the latch (2) to the endgate.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the latch assembly.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the screws retaining the latch assembly to the endgate.

    Tighten:  Tighten the latch screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the endgate inner reinforcement panel. Refer to Reinforcement Inner Panel Replacement - Endgate .
  5. Install the endgate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Endgate (Envoy XUV) .
