Removal Procedure

  1. Swing the endgate open.
  2. Remove the endgate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Endgate (Envoy XUV) .
  3. Remove the endgate inner reinforcement panel. Refer to Reinforcement Inner Panel Replacement - Endgate .
  4. Remove the screws retaining the latch assembly (1) to the endgate.

  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the latch.
  6. Remove the latch from the endgate.
