Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the midgate assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Midgate Replacement .
  2. Remove the midgate inner panel. Refer to Midgate Panel Replacement - Inner .
  3. Remove the midgate regulator assembly. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Midgate .
  4. Fig 1: Identifying Midgate Hinges & Midgate Hinge Reinforcements

  5. Mark the position of the midgate hinges (2) using a grease pencil.
  6. Mark the position of the midgate hinge reinforcements (1) using a grease pencil.
  7. Remove the nuts retaining the midgate hinges to the midgate.
  8. Remove the hinge assembly (2) from the midgate.
