Removal Procedure

  1. Swing the endgate open.
  2. Remove the trim panel from the endgate. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Endgate (Envoy XUV) .
  3. Remove the rear body control module. Refer to Module Rear Body Control Replacement - Endgate .
  4. Remove the inner panel reinforcement. Refer to Reinforcement Inner Panel Replacement - Endgate .

  6. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the endgate handles.

  8. Remove the screws retaining the handles to the license plate pocket.
  9. Remove the handles from the endgate.
