Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Install the button assembly to the overhead console.
Install the garage door opener to the overhead console. Fully recess the light indicator into the opening (1).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the 3 retaining screws to the garage door opener.
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 0.8 N.m (7 lb in).
Connect the electrical connector to the garage door opener (3).
Install the overhead console. Refer to Console Replacement - Overhead (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) or Console Replacement - Overhead (Envoy XUV) in Interior Trim.
