Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement (Envoy, Envoy XUV) , Grille Replacement (TrailBlazer) , Grille Replacement (Bravada) or Grille Replacement (Rainier) in Exterior Trim.
  2. Remove the headlamp assemblies. Refer to Headlamp Replacement (TrailBlazer) , Headlamp Replacement (Envoy, Envoy XUV) , Headlamp Replacement (Bravada) or Headlamp Replacement (Rainier) in Lighting Systems.
  3. Release the tabs that retain the ambient temperature sensor to the headlamp housing panel.
  4. Note the wiring harness routing for installation.

  6. Remove the bolts that retain the headlamp housing panel to the core support.
  7. Remove the headlamp housing panel from the vehicle.
