Installation Procedure

- Install the ignition coil or coil assembly.
- Install the ignition coil mounting bolts and/or nuts.
Tighten: Tighten the ignition coil-to-bracket bolts/nuts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
Tighten: Tighten the ignition coil bracket-to-valve rocker arm cover bolts to bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
- Connect the spark plug wire (s) at the ignition coil (s).
- Connect the individual ignition coil or main coil harness connector.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
