Removal Procedure

IMPORTANT: Clean all evaporative emission (EVAP) pipe connections and surrounding areas before disconnecting the pipes in order to avoid possible EVAP system contamination.

  1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister vent pipe from the canister (3).
  3. Disconnect the EVAP canister vent pipe at the EVAP vent valve (1).
  4. Cap the EVAP vent valve and canister in order to prevent possible EVAP system contamination.
  5. Remove the EVAP canister vent pipe.
