Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the cargo shelf.
  2. Tumble the third row seats to the cargo position.

  3. Remove the left body side window rear garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Body Side Window - Rear (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) .
  4. Remove the left body side window forward garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Body Side Window - Front (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) .
  5. Remove the lift gate sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Liftgate .
  6. Remove the left rear door sill panel. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada)  or Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL, Envoy XUV) .
  7. Remove the lower seat belt anchor bolt.

  8. Release the five screws that retain the rear quarter trim panel to the body.
  9. Remove the rear quarter trim panel from the vehicle.
