Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Position the trim panel to the vehicle.
- Position the seat belt over the top of the trim panel, ensuring that the buckle is not behind the trim panel.
- Index the locating tabs on the trim panel to the holes in the body.
- Connect the wiring harness connector to the auxiliary power outlet.
- Install the five screws that the retain the rear quarter trim panel to the body.
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
- Install the seat belt lower anchor.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).
- Install the left rear door sill panel. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) or Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL, Envoy XUV) .
- Install the lift gate sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Liftgate .
- Install the left body side window forward garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Body Side Window - Front (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) .
- Install the left body side window rear garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Body Side Window - Rear (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) .
- Return the third row seats to the upright position.
- Install the cargo shelf.
