Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the auxiliary power outlet to the trim panel, if equipped. Refer to Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement - 12 Volt in Power Outlets.

  2. Install the cargo lamp. Refer to Cargo Lamp Replacement (Envoy XUV) in Lighting Systems.
  3. Install the endgate window emergency switch, if equipped. Refer to Switch Replacement - Endgate Window Interior Emergency in Body Rear End.
  4. Install the body side trim panel in the vehicle.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the cargo tie down loops and the cargo tie down blanks.

    Tighten:  Tighten the cargo tie down loop bolt to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).

  7. Install the rear floor front trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Rear Floor - Front .
  8. Install the body lock pillar upper tie bar trim cover. Refer to Trim Cover Replacement - Body Lock Pillar Upper Tie Bar - Cargo (Envoy XUV) .
  9. Install the cargo mat. Refer to Cargo Mat Replacement (Envoy XUV) in Body Rear End.
