Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the rear floor trim cover. Refer to Trim Cover Replacement - Rear Floor Trim Panel .
  2. Remove the jack stowage cover. Refer to Cover Replacement - Jack Stowage (Envoy XUV) .
  3. Remove the rear door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada)  or Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL, Envoy XUV) .

  5. Fold the midgate to the down position.
  6. Pull the trim panel away from the lock pillar to disengage clips.
  7. Remove the alignment tabs from the holes in the upper lock pillar trim panel.
  8. Remove the lower trim panel from the vehicle.
