Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- With the aid of an assistant, install the headliner into the vehicle.
- Install the rear 2 push pins.
- Install the right rear assist handle to the roof panel. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement .
- Connect the 2 electrical connectors to the cellular phone antenna. Refer to Antenna Assembly Replacement - Cellular and Navigation in Cellular Communication.
- Install the left/right front assist handles to the roof panel. Refer toAssist Handle Replacement .
- Install the sunshades to the headliner. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
- Connect the inside rear view mirror electrical connector.
- Install the overhead console. Refer to Console Replacement - Overhead (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) Console Replacement - Overhead (Envoy XUV) .
- Install the windshield garnish moldings. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Windshield Pillar .
- Install the center pillar garnish moldings. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Center Pillar .
- Install the left/right front side door sill plates. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Front .
- Install the right sound insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Lower (GMC/Chevrolet) in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
- Install the clips (2) on the headliner harness (1) down the left hand lock pillar.
- Install the headliner harness to the floor studs (3).
- Install the headliner harness electrical connector (2) to the I/P wire harness.
- Connect the headliner harness (1) to the body electrical center (3). Refer to Rear Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement in Wiring Systems.
- Install the clips (3) on the navigation coax antenna cable (2) down the right hand lock pillar.
- Install the navigation coax antenna cable to the floor studs (1).
- If equipped with OnStar® perform the following procedure:
- Pass the cable through the hole in the carpet.
- Install the navigation antenna cable (2) to the communication interface module (1). Refer to Communication Interface Module Replacement (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) or Communication Interface Module Replacement (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) in Cellular Communication.
- Install the cover on the communication interface module.
- Install the carpet on the floor. Refer to Carpet Replacement - Rear (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) , Carpet Replacement - Rear (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) or Carpet Replacement - Rear (Envoy XUV) .
- Install the left/right upper body lock pillar trim panels. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Body Lock Pillar Upper (Envoy XUV) .
- Install the left/right lower body lock pillar trim panels. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Body Lock Pillar Lower (Envoy XUV) .
- Install the upper body lock pillar trim cover. Refer to Trim Cover Replacement - Body Lock Pillar Upper Tie Bar - Passenger (Envoy XUV) .
- Install the rear floor panel assembly.
- Install the rear seat and midgate rest. Refer to Rest Replacement - Rear Seat and Midgate in Seats.
- Install the jack and tool stowage container bracket. Refer to Jack and Tool Stowage Container Bracket Replacement (Envoy XUV) .
- Install the left/right rear side door sill plates. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) or Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL, Envoy XUV) .
- Install the left rear seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Rear No. 1 (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL, Envoy XUV) in Seats.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
