Removal Procedure

  1. Close the window to the full up position.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door .
  3. Remove the rear half of the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door .

  5. Disconnect the lock rod retaining clip from the outside door handle.
  6. Remove the lock rod from the outside door handle.
  7. Disconnect the lock cylinder rod from the cylinder, if equipped.
  8. Remove the inside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Inside .

  10. Remove the 3 screws that retain the latch to the door.
  11. Position the latch in order to disconnect the electrical connectors as needed.
  12. Remove the latch from the door.

  14. Noting the position of the inside handle lock rods, remove the inside handle lock rods from the latch.
  15. Noting the position of the outside handle lock rods, remove the outside handle lock rods from the latch.
  16. Remove the actuator from latch. Refer to Lock Actuator Replacement - Front Door .
