Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the high mount stop lamp to the lift gate window reveal molding, ensuring the center retaining tab is fully seated.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the 2 screws that retain the high mount stop lamp to the lift gate window reveal molding.

    Tighten:  Tighten the 2 retaining screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  4. Close the liftgate window.
  5. Open the liftgate.

  7. Install the grommet (1) to the body.
  8. Connect the high mount stoplamp electrical connector (2).
  9. Attach the rear portion of the headliner to the roof panel, by seating the 2 headliner retaining pins.
  10. Position the lift gate opening weatherstrip over the headliner.
