Removal Procedure

  1. Tilt the steering wheel to the full down position.
  2. Remove the left closeout/insulator panel. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left .
  3. Remove the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Knee Bolster .

  5. Remove the screws retaining the bezel to the instrument panel.
  6. Remove the bezel from the instrument panel.
  7. If equipped, remove the transfer case shift control switch. Refer to Transfer Case Shift Control Switch Replacement (GMC, Buick) or Transfer Case Shift Control Switch Replacement (Chevrolet) in Transfer Case.
  8. Remove the rear wiper washer switch. Refer to Wiper/Washer Switch Replacement - Rear in Wipers Washer Systems.
  9. If equipped, remove the cigar lighter or 12-volt power supply outlets. Refer to Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement - 12 Volt in Power Outlets.
  10. Remove the bezel from the vehicle.
