Removal & Installation (4.8L, 5.3L & 6.0L)

Remove the intake manifold. See appropriate article in ENGINES. Gently pry up the knock sensor rubber covers. See Fig 1. Disconnect knock sensor harness connector(s). Remove knock sensors. See Fig 2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
