Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Install the horn switch (2) to the steering wheel (3).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Connect the screws (1,4) that secure the contact plate to the steering wheel (3).
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 5.5 N.m (49 lb in).

Install the horn plunger to the steering column.
Install the inflator module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in SIR.
Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.
