Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Position the seat onto the floor studs. The seat should be in the folded position.
Install the 2 rear nuts (2). Do not tighten the nuts.
Unfold the seat to ensure that the seat latch (1) properly engages the latch bar (3) on the floor.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the front 2 rear seat mounting nuts (2).
Tighten: Tighten the front rear seat mounting nuts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
Fold the seat to the stowed position.
Tighten the 2 rear seat mounting nuts (2).
Tighten: Tighten the rear seat mounting nuts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
Install the communication interface module if installing the right-hand rear seat. Refer to Communication Interface Module Replacement (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) or Communication Interface Module Replacement (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) in Cellular Communications.
