Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the seat to the vehicle.
  2. IMPORTANT: Do not move or adjust the seat adjuster release handle or the seat back until all 4 fastener attachments have been made. Do not tighten the front seat mounting bolt until the remaining 3 mounting nuts have been tightened.
  3. Install the front seat mounting bolt. Do not tighten.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the three front seat mounting nuts on the floor studs.

    Tighten:  Tighten the front seat mounting nuts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

    Tighten:  Tighten the front seat mounting bolt to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

  6. Connect the electrical harness. Clip the harness to the seat bracket.
  7. Enable SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 and to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9 in SIR.
  8. Install the seat mounting fastener covers.
