Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the latch release cable to the right-hand hinge bracket.

  2. Install the seat belt retractor assembly, on the left side only. Refer to Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - No. 1 Center Rear (TrailBlazer, Envoy and Bravada) or Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - No. 1 Center Rear (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL, Envoy XUV) in Seat Belts.
  3. Install the seat back hinge brackets. Refer to Seat Back Hinge Replacement - Rear No. 1 (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada)  or Seat Back Hinge Replacement - Rear No. 1 (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL, Envoy XUV) .
  4. Install the head restraint retractor assembly. Refer to Head Restraint Retractor Assembly Replacement - Rear No. 1 .
  5. Install the latch release assembly. Refer to Seat Back Release Latch Replacement - Rear No. 1 (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada)  or Seat Back Release Latch Replacement - Rear No. 1 (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL, Envoy XUV) .
  6. Install the latch release cables (1) and the head rest restraint cable (2) to the left-hand hinge bracket.
  7. Install the seat back cover and pad. Refer to Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Rear No. 1 (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada)  or Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Rear No. 1 (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL, Envoy XUV) .
