Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the seat back. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Front .
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the 4 nuts that secure the seat pan to the power seat adjuster frame.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the SIR harness (2) to the seat clips (1,4).
  6. Connect the gray lumbar electrical connector (5), if equipped.
  7. Connect the black electrical connector (3) to the seat belt buckle.
  8. Connect the black electrical connector (6) to the seat back harness.

  10. Install the seat belt buckle to the seat with the nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 55 N.m (41 lb ft).

  11. Install the seat cushion trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  12. Install the front bucket seat assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket .
  13. If the vehicle is equipped with memory seats, calibrate the seat. Refer to Memory Seat Calibration Procedure .
