Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2002 GMC Envoy XL, 2002 GMC Envoy, and 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door .
  2. Remove the inner window belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner .
  3. Remove the outer window belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Outer .
  4. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door .
  5. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Rear Door (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) Window Regulator Replacement - Rear Door (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) .
  6. Carefully lower the glass into the door.

  8. Remove the bolt (2) that retains the weatherstrip run channel to the door.
  9. Pull the weatherstrip (1) loose from the window frame opening.
  10. Release the clip retaining the quarter glass to the window opening by pulling forward on the run channel (4).
  11. IMPORTANT: The quarter glass and weatherstrip/run channel is not serviceable and should be replaced only as an assembly.
  12. Remove the weatherstrip run channel assembly from the top of the door opening.
