Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the power window switch. Refer to Power Window Switch Replacement - Rear Door (Chevrolet) Power Window Switch Replacement - Rear Door (GMC/Oldsmobile) .
  2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door .
  3. Remove the inner window belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner .
  4. Remove the outer window belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Outer .
  5. Remove the upper sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Upper .
  6. Remove the inside release handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Inside .
  7. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door .
  8. Remove the speaker. Refer to Speaker Replacement - Rear Door in Entertainment.
  9. Remove the window. Refer to Window Replacement - Rear Door (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) Window Replacement - Rear Door (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) .
  10. Remove the stationary window and run channel assembly. Refer to Window Weatherstrip Run Channel Assembly Replacement - Rear (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) Window Weatherstrip Run Channel Assembly Replacement - Rear (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) .
  11. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Rear Door (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) Window Regulator Replacement - Rear Door (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) .
  12. Remove the door latch assembly. Refer to Latch Replacement - Rear Door .
  13. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Outside (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) Door Handle Replacement - Rear Outside (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) .
  14. Remove the check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement .
  15. Remove the wire harness from the door. Refer to Wiring Harness Replacement - Rear Door .

  17. Remove the bolts that retain the door to the hinge plates.
  18. Remove the door from the vehicle with an assistant.
