Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING & JACKING THE VEHICLE .
  2. Remove the engine shield bolts and shield, if necessary.

  4. Remove the oil pan skid plate bolts and plate, if necessary.

  6. Disconnect the CPA retainer.
  7. Disconnect the oxygen sensor electrical connector (1).
  8. Support the catalytic converter or exhaust manifold pipe with adjustable jackstands.

  10. Remove the right exhaust manifold pipe nuts.

  12. Remove the left exhaust manifold pipe nuts.
  13. Remove the exhaust hanger mounting bracket bolts.
  14. Lower the catalytic converter or exhaust manifold pipe using the adjustable jackstands.
  15. Remove the exhaust manifold pipe seal(s).
