Removal & Installation (Federal)

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cables. Loosen the outlet duct clamp at the upper intake manifold cover. Remove he upper intake manifold cover from the outlet duct. Remove the upper intake manifold cover. Remove the battery supply wiring harness nut and harness connector.
  2. Remove the glow plug wiring harness nuts and harness connectors. See Fig 1. Release the wiring harness connectors at the glow plug relay. Remove the two glow plug relay mounting nuts. Remove the glow plug relay from the mounting studs. To install, reverse removal procedure.
