Installation Procedure

  1. Install new O-rings (1) coated with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil to the evaporator and expansion valve.
  2. Install the expansion valve (2) and evaporator tube assembly (3) to the evaporator.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the two bolts (4) to the expansion valve.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts (4) to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).

  5. Install the evaporator inlet and outlet hoses.
  6. Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  7. Operate the A/C system. Inspect for refrigerant leaks. Refer to Leak Testing .
