Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install new O-rings lubricated with 525 viscosity mineral oil.
  2. Position the evaporator liquid hose into the vehicle.
  3. Fig 1: Inlet Tube, Compressor, Suction Line, Bolts And Nuts

  4. Install the evaporator liquid hose (4) to the evaporator liquid tube.
  5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the evaporator hose bracket to the vehicle. Secure with the bolt (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the evaporator hose bracket bolt (1) to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the evaporator liquid tube to the receiver (9). Secure with the bolt (10)

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt (10) to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).

  8. Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  9. Operate the A/C system and test for refrigerant leaks. Refer to Leak Testing .
