Installation Procedure

  1. Install the sliding yoke (1) into the transmission with the two piece propeller shaft assembly.
  2. Ensure that the sliding yoke splines are lubricated.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the mid shaft bearing support bolts (1,2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 37 N.m (27 lb ft).

  5. Install the pinion flange yoke to the differential pinion flange with the reference marks. Secure the pinion flange yoke with 4 bolts and 4 nuts and washers.

    Tighten:  Tighten the propeller shaft bolts and nuts to 74 N.m (54 lb ft).

  6. Lower the vehicle.
