Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Fig 1: (HO2S1) And (HO2S2) Electrical Connector, Exhaust Pipe Hangers, Springs And Bolts

  3. Remove the bolts, the springs and the gasket from the three-way catalytic converter (TWC) (3) assembly:
  4. Remove the hangers from the muffler.
  5. Remove the muffler/tail pipe assembly from the vehicle.
  6. Clean the seal mating surfaces.
