Removal Procedure

Tools Required 

J 43631  Ball Joint Remover

  1. If the vehicle has rear disc brakes, remove the rear brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement - Rear in Disc Brakes.
  2. If the vehicle has rear drum brakes, remove the brake drum. Refer to Brake Drum Replacement in Drum Brakes.
  3. Install 2 wheel nuts onto 2 studs.
  4. Use a pry bar on the 2 nuts in order to prevent the hub from turning.

  6. Use the J 43631  in order to remove the wheel stud.
