Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.

  3. Remove the 2 bolts (2,3) in order to separate the park brake cable (1) from the lower control arm.

  4. Remove the nut (4) and the stabilizer shaft link stud from the lower control arm.

  5. Support the lower control arm (15) with a jack.
  6. Use paint in order to place match marks on the 2 cams (5,6) and on the lower control arm.
  7. Remove the nut (8) and the bolt (7).
  8. Remove the nut (4) and the cam (5).
  9. Remove the cam bolt (6).
  10. Remove the nut and the bolt in order to separate the shock absorber from the lower control arm.
  11. Remove the nut (1) and the bolt (3).
  12. Remove the 3 bolts (10,11,12) and the lower control arm from the vehicle.
