Circuit Description

When ignition is turned on, SDM performs tests to diagnose critical internal malfunctions. SDM monitors driver-side air bag high-side and low-side circuit voltage difference. SDM uses voltage difference to calculate circuit resistance. A high deployment loop resistance indicates an open in driver-side air bag module circuit.
