Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the stabilizer shaft on the crossmember.
  2. Install the 2 stabilizer shaft insulators to the stabilizer shaft.
  3. Install the 2 clamps and the 4 bolts to the insulators.
  4. Install the crossmember to the vehicle. Refer to Crossmember Replacement - Front Suspension (FWD)  or Crossmember Replacement - Front Suspension (AWD) .
  5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Tighten the 4 bolts to the clamps.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 19 N.m (14.0 lb ft).

  7. Fig 1: Strut Bracket, Stabilizer Shaft Links And 6 mm Wrench (AWD)

  8. Install the stabilizer shaft links (3) and the nuts to the stabilizer shaft and to the strut brackets.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 74 N.m (54.6 lb ft).
